THE UNPLANNED HIATUS OF BLIND MELON :(
So it is a major bummer to update this news-page, but it has to be done,
because this is major news in the world of Blind Melon.
Travis Warren is
not a member of Blind Melon anymore. Travis says that he was "replaced," and
the band says that Travis has "abandoned" them and will not communicate.
I will not give my opinion on this matter here. I will post these two links:

Nel's statement
The tour has been canceled throughout the end of the year. They are still
planning on performing the New Year's Eve show. The band has stated it's intention
to keep on keepin' on with a new singer. It might be Chris Shinn, temporarily.

NICO HOON SINGS WITH BLIND MELON 10-16-2007
On October 16th, 2007, Shannon Hoon's daughter, Nico Hoon, performed two songs with Blind Melon
in Chicago at the Double Door.This is meaningful on a number of levels, and I don't really have
the words to describe how I feel as a Blind Melon fan. I mean, this is amazing. Fortunately, we
have some friends that have shared videos of the performance with us! Thanks to Mario and Keith! ! !

UNIFIED THEORY
Unified Theory has released (on itunes) a second album titled "Cinematic".
This band was/is amazing, and their second album is excellent.
I especially like the song 'We Don't Break'.

How cool is that!?! He also has some video clips of Blind Melon shows from his

Brad Weitz has created a very cool new website with an even cooler idea behind it!
He would like to put together a book of artwork that has been inspired by Blind Melon!
Once it is all put together and finished, fans will be able purchase it, with full
proceeds going to the Music Cares Foundation and the Eye & Mind/Shannon Hoon Vigil Fund.
So start brainstorming of what you might like to contribute, if you feel so inclined.
